These are not your typical Work man Utili kilts. The Survival kilt is not designed to withstand extreme wear and tear and come out unscathed. It’s like taking your Cadillac off-road; you just don’t do it. But wearing the Survival kilt is an experience in itself.

The Survival kilt is made from high-quality 6.5oz 100% Cotton Ripstop fabric and is available in Black, Gray, Olive, or Coyote. It also comes in a soft and supple 9oz 100% Cotton Twill in Tan or Basil.

One of the most impressive features of the Survival kilt is the detachable pockets. Each cargo pocket can be removed and used like a belt pack. For instance, if you’re wading across a river and want to keep your belongings dry, just pull off the cargo pockets, stuff the rest of the kilt inside, and toss it across to the other side. If you’re at the airport with pockets full of stuff, pull them off, drop them on the conveyor belt for x-ray scanning, and walk through the metal detector with ease. The cargo pockets have elastic-rimmed gussets that allow them to expand to fit all your belongings and then fold back to a flat shape after use. You’ll be surprised at how useful these removable pockets can be.

The two rear pockets of the Survival kilt do not come off, but they are elastic-rimmed and can hold a considerable amount of stuff. With the Survival kilt on, you might not even need to bring that Hello Kitty backpack along.
